Today we face hazards that were neither known nor imagined a few decades ago. We are at risk of exposure to thousands of new synthetic chemicals...and only a fraction have been tested for toxicity. 
Fewer than 20 percent have been studied for their capacity to interfere with children's development. Not okay!
The American Cancer Society states that only 5 - 10% of all cancer cases are from gene defects. That means 90 - 95% are under our control! We have to be the guardian of our homes and ensure we are bringing in the most natural, safe products possible.
Did you know that even some organic cleaners have known carcinogens in them?! Yep, they are just naturally derived. This is scary and just doesn't sit well with me!
The other thing is that many "natural" and organic products contain fragrance. Legally, that one word on the ingredient label can have hundreds of chemicals...But the company only has to put "fragrance" as the ingredients are a trade secret.
